About us

DIDAIhub

DIDAIhub is a community platform and a catalyst of innovative research and learning solutions with global impacts at the University of Turku. We approach global sustainability challenges with an inclusive and transformative mind-set, combining local talent with open data, digital technologies and citizen engagement.

DIDAIhub community thrives from system-level and transformative science, which aims to turn data, tools, skills and competences into actionable solutions for sustainable and climate resilient ecosystems and life all over the world. New generation university graduates and researchers need to be competent with digital data and novel technologies, but equally they need to master the interface between technologies’ potential and societies’ emerging needs. This can only be achieved when working in a multi-stakeholder environment globally and locally, and co-creating innovative and impact-based solutions.

The transformative digital data, technology and community-based practices and solutions gathered to DIDAIhub have been developed and piloted together with our long-lasting academic partners, such as universities in Tanzania. The cooperation has catalysed innovative research and education, and successful skills development for both the academic staff and the students.

We are starting to gather DIDAIhub assets from the University of Turku, and are expanding the community platform to other universities in the future. Explore the innovative solutions, digital tools, online learning materials gathered to this hub, contact experts, establish new partnerships and contribute to the assets with your expertise.
