The World Bank funded project Tanzanian Resilience Academy came to an end in January 2023. For continuing the valuable activities of Resilience Academy, such as the mass-industrial placements, geovisualisation challenges and implementing online learning materials to local course teaching in Tanzania, a two-day leadership training was organised between party organisations (UDSM, ARU, SUA, SUZA, MoCU and ICTC) in Dar es Salaam.
The training was organised in the form of multiple workshops and shared discussions. A structure of the continuing institutionalised Resilience Academy secretariat was formed, and an action plan for the year 2023 was created and validated. The academic lead for Resilience Academy in 2023 is in the hands of Dr. Mercy Mbise (UDSM) and will circulate between the academic parties (ARU, SUA and SUZA) in the future. Technical lead will be conducted by the Tanzania Commision for ICT (ICTC).
